A ship question

I have a frigate reskin, I call a three decker in my mod. It has three rows of gunports on its hull, but in combat,in the game, it shows only one row of guns, like the original frigate. The author General matt, says to make two new freeze nif files, out of the frigate nif, he provided, and I have added theses file to my unit folder, but I still only have one deck of guns. How is this? What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any help
