Bad Lieutenant
Turn 0: (4000 BC)
Once again, here is the opening save. I decided to settle in place. Delhi is founded. Gandhi is Spiritual and Philosophical, which means no anarchy when switching civics and/religion and 100% Great Person birth rate. We'll get cheap Temples and Universities as well. These are great traits for a nice friendly builder game where all civs get along and keep to themselves as they tech peacefully towards a space victory with nobody getting hurt in the process. Good times for all.
But this scenario will not be like that. We should expect lot's of wars very early on. Too many civs + not enough real estate =
India starts with mining and mysticism. Basically I can discover a religion or start beefing up our war knowledge. I choose the latter and begin researching bronze working. Here's hoping we get some copper in our fat cross. I start Delhi working on a fast worker so he can hopefully mine the copper.
I move our warrior one tile south to pop a hut
Nice. Not exactly the tech I wish we could have popped, but at least we can use that fresh water tile in our fat cross now. I'm working the flood plain tile right now, BTW for those of you keeping score at home.
15 turns to BW. 12 turns to fast worker.
Turn 1: (3960 BC)
I can see a border at the bottom of the screen, so I start my warrior headed that way to see if I can steal me a city.
I don't send him after the hut to the east of Delhi, as I think our culture city's culture pop will do the job before anybody else gets it (I hope).
Turn 2: (3920 BC)
We meet Suryvarman II of the Khmer.
Hey there buddy! Do you mind if I check out your casa? I promise I won't take anything.
His scout is moving north, so I am going to take a gamble and move my warrior into his border.
Turn 3: (3880 BC)
War is declared.
Turn 4: (3840 BC)
We meet Kublai Khan.
Crap.
Sury has a warrior in his city. I was so pissed, I didn't get a screen shot of it. I swear I played two sample games this week with the same parameters as this game and BOTH TIMES I was able to raze a couple cities. Oh well, Sury's time will come. I decide to scout the warrior past Sury's capital to the east and see if I can get a glimpse of any other cities.
Turn 5: (3800 BC)
Our warrior meets Zara and Justinian.
Turn 6: (3760 BC)
Scouting.
Turn 7: (3720 BC)
We meet Tokugawa.
Buddhism FIDL.
Turn 8: (3680 BC)
Turn 9: (3640 BC)
Zara's city is also defended
I start moving the warrior back towards Delhi. Once I get him through Sury's border I will sue for peace with him.
