I don't give a sh1t about the reasons behind the early release, but I bet Sid is laughing pretty damn hard with the millions he got away with by releasing this half assed piece of sh1t.

DID THEY EVEN TEST IT? When a player drops from the game and you have to vote on what to do - when you try to chat in the dialog yo usee the "<message color="34,2432,234,">what's up?</message" some BS like this.

THis shows that it was SIMPLY NOT TESTED. IT"S THAT SIMPLE. They didn't even bother checking if their code works. I do programming for a living and I know if such basic thing was missed, this simply means they didn't test their code.


I hope Firaxis execs choke on my $$$.

By blaming Firaxis you are showing ignorant childishness.

2)As it happens, the game works for the *vast majority* of users. There may be a handful of tiny bugs, but for the vast majority, that's all they are.

3)Given the enormous possible combinations of systems, video cards, OS, etc that are out there - it's becoming very hard to test succesfuly on every possible combinations.

Well maybe not.... I think it would be more accurate to say that this is the most INACURATE description of how most people feel.

I feel you bud, I personally can't load saved games which makes the game 50% less fun then it should be. I wouldn't go as far as cursing Sid Meier out for it though, if it wasn't for him, you wouldn't even have anything to ***** about.

There's ALWAYS room for improvement in ANY game - little things that can be tweaked, etc. That doesn't mean the game is a crap product if it's released without all those improvements being made.

please tell me this isnt another game rushed out to get cash and half finished.

I seem to have been suckered into so many of these lately its getting depressing and really starting to put me off pc games. Im really thinking about getting an X Box 360 and not looking back. The thing is when companies dont have the patch ability to fall back on they have to get the game finished before bringing it out.

This really does sound like its so from all the posters. I really hope not
