Aaahhhhhhhh civ v won't run at all

When I try to open civ V I get a black screen then an error message that reads "Civlization V has encountered a problem and needs to close." My specs are:

Windows XP
NVIDA GeForce FX 5200
Intel (R) Celeron (R) CPU 2.53 Ghz
3 gb RAM

What is the problem?

FX 5200 is 7 years old at least! I think it doesn't even have Shader 3.0 support. Also think it would support DX8 at best.

It has DX 9 support.

FX or the GeForce 5xxx series only support shader model 2 and it falls far below the games minimum requirements. Your processor is also below the requirements, you need a Dual Core processor as a minimum. See the requirements here => http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=374130

Well, some people got it to run on a single core, but a pentium4 based celeron will definately struggle
And the GF FX series is definately not capable of running civ5. You need at least a GF6000 or HD X1000 series card.

But a new computer is probably a good idea
