Abandoning City

Hello! My cities are incredibly close together, and I want to abandon about 9 or 10 to allow room for growth. Would the AI take offense to this? Would their attitude change at all (one or two of the cities are captured ones).

For your own cities, i very much doubt it, get rid of them if you want. As for the captured ones, i suppose it depends on any citizens that are not yours that havent been assimilated yet through time. Im not sure, ive never had to do something like that. Someone else could perhaps give a better answer.

To avoid attitude problems, you need to have either more of your own citizens than foreign, or equal numbers. I'm not sure which.

I have always made sure I have had the majority and have had no problems.

Don't abandon those cities. Instead, build workers while maintaining zero growth. When your city is down to size one, and not growing, you will be prompted to abandon the city when the worker is complete.

That is good if you are at size 2 or 3, but if it is 6, that could take awhile.
