Ability to creaty our own leader?

Or maybe even your own civilization.

Well, we've always had the ability to "Create our own Civilization", if only by renaming an existing one.

I am also a fan of "create your own race" functions in turn based strategy games as it lends a little more of an RPG feel. But with Unrestricted leaders, civics/social policies/the new Civilization Tree, and the extensive modding that is possible, this base is already pretty well covered.

There's something like a "civilization tree" in one of the rumors, so i guess, we'll have somehow have a RPG system for our civ .

They won't do it (at least in CivV), but what if they added a simple Facegen feature at the beginning, like in an RPG. You mix and match the gender, race, hairstyle, eyes, etc of your leader model, then maybe the clothing and background setting, all from pre-defined options. Compared to the rest of the game, it probably wouldn't take up much room on the disk, and it would be huge not only for roleplayers, but also for leaderhead makers.

Cities XL have an inbuilt tool to help you create your avatar. It's 3D and allows you to adjust the size and shape of various facial features, plus haircut, clothing, hair/skin colour, build and extras like glasses and facial hair. A similar tool would be good for Civ V. It would make leader art accessible to non-artists and provide a readily-available option which beats poor reskins.

It would certainly qualify as an "unprecedented modding tool", so there is hope. But it's hard to imagine them providing many props or outfits for the leaders. Civ isn't the Sims.

Yep, the MOO2 system was great. However, now that each civ/leader has their own unique bonuses (no more generic mix-and-match with Financial, Philosophical, etc), if they offer Unrestricted Leaders then you will be able to do quite a quite a bit of mixing-and-matching for some pretty creative bonus sets.
