What do the envelopes mean to the left of a thread?

Look towards to bottom of the forum page, just above the big banner ad. There is a key that shows what they all mean.

I looked at the bottom and it doesnt say what a envelope with a black dot on it means? Can you tell me?

Just a suggestion; it would be useful if one could jump to one's posts in a particular thread without having to do a search. Is that in any way possible?
