nice huge update but i dont think slavery and serfdom actually decrease culture , i think a good example is the huge egyptian empire that build many wonders using slavery
 
That's true... they BUILT the wonders. Slavery gives a boost in production. Actually, I was thinking of bumping up the in-city production to compliment the production bonus you get when building tile improvements.

I might make make some small changes in the next release, but the culture hit is going to stay. It's the main counter weight against all the production perks you get with Slavery. Besides, you have to think about all the other civics out there that boost culture. Civics are a delicate balancing act now!

Same with Serfdom, although it's advantages/disadvantages won't be as extreme as Slavery. :)
 
please let helicopters fly over coast/sea/ocean
that sucks so hard in the org game, that heli´s cant fly over water... thats just stupid and makes me sick!

Really, it makes you physically ill? :lol:

I see what you mean... but the reason they can't fly over water is they have to land somewhere! Otherwise you'd have helicopters flying across oceans, and we all know that doesn't happen! Helicopters have limited range.

That happened to me, too, even with vanilla Sevomod. Actually, it all started once I installed v1.61.

The way I fixed it was with a game open, I changed the anti-alias settings, then changed them back to what I originally had them.

Or sometimes quitting to desktop and restarting the game seems to work. But I'm 99.5% sure it has nothing to do with the Remix.
 
I think that is good to have more units to adding some "realism"... ex. Leopard2 for Germany, FA18, AH64, LosAngeles Sub for NATO, and so on (i know, adding units in xml is not the funniest thing ;) but with more and more beautifuls units created... it's just too bad to not use them :lol: )
 
I agree, that's why I made a few more defense contractor wonders (Boeing, Mikoyan, etc). And once I get the 2nd UU's done, it'll be a little better. :)
 
I suggest a bridge layer unit that covers one non-ocean square. It is available to everyone, takes several turns to set up, costs two movement points to cross, and moves slowly. The bridge can be destroyed like other improvements and spans three squares so it can be destroyed at either side by land units.
I have other ideas if it can be made.
 
I recently installed Grave's SevoMod Remix. Everything seems to be working fine except for the Religion/Wonder movies. They are coming up twice, ie.. the first one pops up and when I hit the close button it pops up a second time. After I hit the close button a second time, it doesn't pop up anymore. Not a major problem, but a little annoying.

I've never noticed that before! Thanks for the report, I'll look into it! :crazyeye:
 
Before downloading your add-on iwould like too say to you that numerous mod componment you should add MAD nukes mod and Barbarian Civ

I kinda like the way vanilla Civ handles nukes... so I didn't want to add MAD nukes.

I'll look into Barbarian Civ for the next release (if I like it).

Thank you for your work and dedication. Unfortunately, I have to say that I've had a number of ctds. They've happened specially at the beginning of modern age, but also at industrial age or earlier. My pc has a 2.66 processor, 512 ram and 256 video card. In spite of everything, thank you for your add on!
