But....if you wait until modern age, you miss out on things like: banks, factories, railroads, artillery, tanks, nationalism, etc....

Trying to get back into a good position without them in the modern age doesn't look realistic, except for chieftain level. Only thing that might work imho is to capture the TGL city when someone starts un, rush build that and take the win.

Hi Aggie,

I understand about you being into the "spirit of the game" and not wanting to use this, and I applaude you for it. This is not a tactic, strategy, trick or exploit that I would use on a regular basis. Actually, it would get boring using this tactic all the time. It does make for an interesting game though.
