Unfortunately the Model Parliament is constantly lacking members. I guess there are more inactive members than actually participating ones.

However I think that if only enough people knew about its existance, somwhere hidden in the other games' forum, they would surely like to be part of it and at least look what it's like for a sitting or two.

Is it allowed to advertise in other parts of the forum for the Model parliament? Could TF make a sticky to advertise for it?

I am sure that a lot of people would join it, it has been a lot of fun (for me) since I found out about it. So far I've opened a Coffee Shop, an Opium Den and started a new religion.

So for anyone reading this, go take a look at it at the all other games forum!!

The All Other Games forum needs to be advertised as well...

TF could make an annoucement across all the boards, similar to when he announces the forum changes. It would bring a lot more people.

Although there are plenty of stikied reference threads in the MParliament, I've found as a recent member that it is difficult to get a simple overview of the complex workings. What they need is a sticky with a lucid introduction on the workings and what a member can do to contribute.

That is a good point Achinz. In the "Official CivFanatica Index", made by yours truly, there are links to useful Threads, but nothing really explicit like that. Advertising would be good, particularily in the OT Section, I think many OTers would like the Parliment.

I shall look into make an "Introduction Thread" for the Civ Parliment.

If you want to advertise on the main CFC website, PM or email TF. If forum announcements, ask the mods of the specific forums - though I'm not sure about forum-wide announcements; we only use this for very important announcements.

The easiest I think is for you guys to get your forum mods to push for you - in this case, Matrix and Padma. :mischief:

One drawback on advertising is that you may get an increase in members but few may actually continue to participate...

Maybe you should give out free government land to anyone that moves to model parliment.

Naturally. But out of the temporary increase, they may get a few more dedicated participants. ;) Which is good.

I'd say make sure you put a link to it in your sig. If there's enough people with it there, you'll get some new posters. and then you can just spam other forums to advertise :D (do not take this second suggestion seriously :D)

Actually, with the way that the Parliment seems to be fading away, I shall try and make some kind of "Introduction Thread" for the Model Parliment, and I am going to start some PMing to see if we can't get some advertising done, and I don't just mean in our Sigs . . .

I could probably catch the newbies up to speed
