Ya, the upgrade of Iroquois UU is much better. No argument there.
I personally am expecting we will have extended WW in the latter game, but if we can avoid it and still win, then I am all for that. Provided we can trade or capture Lux, then one can manage even level 4 WW for extended period of times if one needs to.
In part my extended WW has come from the fact that a mobilized AI cannot build Apollo. So if one or possibly more AI are a launch threat, keeping them in constant intense war keeps them from launching if you start early enough. That seems a good idea if their capitol is very hard to reach.
If you do go for a random map, Aggie, what parameters will you use?
I would think standard map, continents, 60% water, temperate, wet, 5 billion? Somewhere between no and roaming barbs? Normal aggression and random rivals?
Thanks for the maps. Skyfish. We are (slowly) enjoying your may you made for AG3.
One question on maps: I was fiddling with the editor and noticed you could choose huge and then type in a size. If you do that will you get the OCN for a huge map? Or do you have to specifically set the actual value?
I was thinking of seeing how a 240x240 map with 31 civs for AW at Monarchy played (not sure I would ever finish, but what the hey). (240 because it has aprox double the opponents and twice the area, so it would be "normal" density).
We would lose at least 1 worker move, which is why I usually don't do stuff like that. The only downer here is that we don't even have a BG in our starting 9.
We lose two worker moves when we go on that mountain, unless we move the settler NW or SW. The worker can only return to the city, outside the first nine or on forest.
