AI offensive intelligence

Is it just me or is the AI almost completely incapable of using its offensive weapons correctly. I have never once seen the AI, use artillery to weaken my defences over the course of a couple turns. In fact the only time I have ever seen it use artillery is in the defence of cities.

It is impossible to have a proper WWI style battle when the AI doesnt even use its artillery offensively.
 
well if you look in the .bic file there are offensive traits for units the artillery has none however so it cannot be tagged as that so it is tagged as artillery so unfortuantly the AI (computer evaluating the current status of the game to determine moves) consideres the artillery flag best for defense i think its probably due with something programable they can probably make artillery flag more similiar to the offesnive flag but unit then were out of luck maybe in the XP that will be addressed but the same probablem occurs with using carrier and flight units as well as battleships and those bombardment abilities or at least that happens for me
 
i never saw a game before this one where the computer are not able to use his own units corectly.
 
It is really frustrating, because the computer cannot mount a proper counter-offensive in the middle to later game. It is almost impossible to lose militarily, if you are on an even foot, or even behind the computer strategically.

I am really hoping the AI's offensive units thing is fixed for PTW. It would make "WWI" situations much more interesting, if you have the AI making massive artillery strikes at your frontline troops.
