I have finally reached a game where I am fighting the beginning of a modern war. Most everyone has infantry and zepplins. I am at war with Catherine and I was trying to take down one of here cities when i noticed that she had 4 zepplins sitting in the city. Not once during the past like 15 turns did she use those on my. No while i acknowledge that they aren't extremely powerful. The can serve a purpose if you have more than a few of them. Also if nobody has fighers they pretty much don't get shot down. I was using mine to chop down her machine gunners so taking over cities would be easier. So maybe since i really had catherine on her heels at this time does the AI not use air power in a defensive war? I am just wondering if the AI knows how to use the Air units at all? By the way i am am playing on Prince. Does difficulty make a difference? Also I have noticed that the AI will take a stack of units and bring them up to my city but then only attack with like 3/4 of the stack. They probably could have taken my city over if they attacked with the full stack. Once again is this because of my difficulty level. Is the AI more cutthroat at higher levels. Has anyone seen effective strategies by the AI during a modern war?
