Genocide is the destruction of a peoples. Economic and militarally, that is being done right now.

Boy, it's a shame there isn't a Palestinian out there with billions of dollars in aid that could provide for the Palestinians, isn't there?

Perhaps the Palestinians should have thought of that before starting a violent uprising?

we should have thought of that before force palistinans out of there homes and sending them as refugees to a wasteland.

Or a superpower backing them...

I see my reference to Yasser Arafat went over your head, unless you are on his payroll (or his hit list.)

ok, never really replied to a thread on the troubles in the Middle East before so here goes.

I think......... hmm.......... trying to word it without looking like a right tool..... I think both the Israelis and the Palestinian's have done great wrongs (putting it lightly) suicide bombers won't make the Israeli's pull out, and demolishing houses are just gonna irritate the people who consider suicide bombers a valid weapon even more so. I cannot see this problem being solved on its own. If there's going to be peace then the UN must take an extremely active role maybe even a peace keeping force if that would be plausable, but I don't know if the Palestinian's would like that, maybe they would think one occupational army is just being traded for another but I dunno.

As I said I don't nknow alot about the conflict, only what I see in the news, nothing really in depth. Does anyone else think that the UN is the only glimer of hope of peace in the Middle East or should I just shut up and go back to see how many rude pictures I can get on the Funny Picture Thread before a mod deletes them?

accurate source please?

Then the Palestinians might've ended up like the CHEROKEE native americans. This isn't a British colony for money, it is a Zionist land grab.

If only Ghandi had been Palistinian. makes you wonder, or at least it does for me.
Do you think Ghandi would have accepted the eviction of his people being sent into refugee camps in Gaza or West Bank ?

In the same kind of crap, we can also think that if Ghandi had been Israeli... makes you wonder, or at least it does for me.

I widely agree with Steviejay. There's no good side between Israel and Palestine. Both have done terrible things and we are now in a vicious circle of violence. I very much dislike people considering the violence of one side as an excuse to the violence of the other. As long as everyone think this way, you just support violence, nothing else.

All right my attempt share my feelings on the matter evidently failed, so does anyone then have any feasible ideas on how this conflict cold be resolved? Or would you all just prefer to throw remarks saying how everyone else's ideas are wrong back and forth in this rather meaningless shoddy excuse for a debate?

The one state solution. Known as Palestine, name can be changed by the majority only. Must be a native to boundries to vote. Government restrictions on immigrants.

The UN. Its the only way I think.

neither side will back down, they just won't. its been going on for too long and both sides want what they believe they own,its like two little boys fighting (I mean no offence by refering to two nations as "little boys") over a toy they think they both own, they're too proud to give up or come to a compromise or try to work it out, all that matters is the toy. So what is needed is for a "bigger brother" (UN) to come in and break up the fight

How about China, they have nothing to gain or lose from this situation

Sure they do. It would give them a chance to indirectly screw the United States by screwing a United States ally.

No solution compromizing the security of Israel or the United States can be acceptable. Under the current circumstances, this means that no Palestinian state is acceptable.

One state? You're against the existence of Israel?

You do realise that many many israelies were BORN there, and thus have as many rights to the land as any palestinian.

Sure it is. A Palestinians state like the one offered by Ehud Barak is not only accptable but desirable to the US. It would destroy one of the major sources of anti-americanism(OK, I know, anti-americans would find another thing in minutes, but still), and possibly end that vicious killing cicle. The catch is Mr Arafat, a terrorist, didn't accpt the deal, and I doubt he will accept any deal.

The Zionist propaganda machine works in mysterious ways, so I know CBS won't work:

For fun, an Israeli source.

And the National Review.

Be careful, that last article is authored by der Juden. May offend people with blinding hate towards the State of Israel.

Interesting. So basically you believe cleansing Palestine of Israelis will be the final solution?
