All my mana nodes are belong to no-one???

All my mana nodes suddenly reverted to their unmodified state.
There are two things that might be the cause... please tell me if its because of this or something else:
1) i 'inherited' a fire node from the sheim and already had three so all the other nodes (fire and whatever else) go back to unmodified.
2) I hit 10 AC.

Love the mod- first time posting in this sub-forum, second game with this mod (first time i got trounced by a barbarian with an axe).

Are the Amurites in your game? Their worldspell (IIRC) causesal mana nodes in the game to revert to raw mana.

Oh. I kept a fire mana node though... It was outside my borders (newly captured city) when all the mana nodes crashed... should that happen?

I"m 90% sure that it being outside your border saved it.

Seems that most of the world spells only affect terrain w/in somoene's national borders as opposed to everywhere in the world.
(I suspect that's how the code keeps the nasty from happening to the casting nation)

Happens to them as well. But they are ready for it and have planned for it (hence can use it to build Towers of Mastery with fewer Mana Nodes)

Also, the node going outside of your borders resets it, so even though it SHOWS as fire mana, it is actually raw mana and you can put any node you want on there (have to pillage the fire node before you can build a new fire node on it if that is what you still want)

A good way to check is to use the resource view button. If the improved mana node still shows as unimproved mana, you need to pillage and and rebuild.

D'oh.. shows what assumptions will do. Just when I thought I was starting to understand how some of the underlying mechanics worked. heh.


Aha! that also answers a question that had been nagging me about a node that reverted when I captured an opponent city.
