As if Qin Shi Huang wasn't a cruel jerkMight as make Zheng He the leader instead of that cruel jerk Yongle......![]()
Maybe you just caught it as the weekend spike is ramping up? Here's the last eight months or so, with the R&F spike on the left. Both games have had pretty steady player levels since about May. Or maybe you're seeing the beginning of a new trend? At this moment civ 6 is only 500 players behind civ 5 on steam statistics (14:52 CET 29-09-2018)
Could this be because of the switch release? I found this to be strange as there is usually a much wider gap.
From my impressions of activity on this site, I would say that Civ IV had a lot more players even after G&K. Most of the Civ IV players on this site did not move up to Civ V and many have not gone to Civ VI either. But let us not derail this thread, all you need do is go to the Civ IV forum and read...I wonder if IV had a lot more players than V going back 6-8 years ago? I say it definitely did when V was just in vanilla but I wonder after G&K was released?
I could forgive not having new Civs in the second expansion pack if it will have these eight Civs included. Truly must-have Civs.Must-Have Civs:
Babylon
Byzantium
Carthage
Ethiopia
Inca
Maya
Portugal
Ottoman Turks
As if Qin Shi Huang wasn't a cruel jerk
Qin burned books, while Yongle ordered their creation, which led to Yongle Encyclopedia, largest enyclopedia in history![]()
If anything, we could use a fat cruel jerk who comes from a dynasty that wasn't represented with a leader yet, and whose empire did not collapse soon after his deathThe burning books thing might not actually be accurate, plus do we need another fat cruel jerk to represent China in the game?![]()

With the current lack of ancient Civs and leaders, I believe Babylon could be added and the city-state replaced with Niniveh. I prefer Babylon to Assyria.Something tells me we shall only get the last four of these.
That would be truly a shame, as the first four are some of my top favorites.
Must-Have Civs:
Babylon
Byzantium
Carthage
Ethiopia
Inca
Maya
Portugal
Ottoman Turks
Really Ought to Have Civs:
Celts (Gaul)
Another Native American Tribe
Mali (or Songhai, I guess)
Polynesia (Maori?)
I would say it would be horrible to leave West Africa out so I would put in Mali with the must haves. I might be in the minority but I would slightly want Assyria over Babylon, though both would be preferable. With the current lack of ancient Civs and leaders, I believe Babylon could be added and the city-state replaced with Niniveh. My first thought is it sounds like Nintendo 64, and it's curious that the game was just released on the Switch, which goes back to cartridge based games which hasn't happened since the 64.I am an absolute noob when it comes to matters like these, but for what it's worth, I came across a folder named 'Win64Portcullis' within my game files under the route Sid Meier's Civilization VI > Base > Binaries. It seems to be an empty folder and the only other folder within that directory is the one titled 'Win64Steam'. Just pointing it out in case the more knowledgeable members find it useful in our quest for even some tiny scrap of information about Schrodinger's Expansion.
Austrian scientist known for his experiment called "Schrödinger's cat".I keep hearing about "Schrodinger's Expansion". Who/What is Schrodinger?
