I can't help but chuckle when I see a message that says "Saladin converts to Judaism." It also amuses me when pikemen run up to my tank, stand in front of the gun, and are subsequently blown away.
I had to laugh in a game I just finished 20 minutes ago when the Arabs threw 15 frigates at one battleship I had. The Battleship lost only 1.0 point in the 15 battles That destroyed their entire navy in one turn.

Well I've found in a lot of ways in every game I play, it has a rather peculiar way of replicating what has happened in our history. This is a bloody great game!

I find it funny when I refuse to give into demands of an unpopular nation and the leader says "no one listens to me" (or something alone the lines of that) after he demands a tech from me and i say no, heh-- I almost feel sorry for him.
I love it when I have a city celebrate "We love the Despot Day". While this may tell me that I am perhaps neglecting my civics techs, part of me just wants to play all the way to the modern era with despotism so I can keep giggling whenever that pops up.
I had a game where all the civilizations except for Montezuma were on the same large continent. After unifying my continent under Russian rule, I finally had time to seek out the ugly duckling of civilizations. Thanks to all our tech trading, I ended up landing several shiploads of tanks into what amounted to the Aztec middle ages. You'd think that after the first half-dozen cities, the horribly mismatched battle animations would stop being funny. But you know, they really don't.
