An radicle idea for building wonders

It's an interesting idea, but it runs the risk of simply having the rich get richer. There's no point in going for food wonders if you have lots of food (same with the others). It's an interesting idea for the future. It requires careful planning. But I think the effects of the wonders would have to be overhauled as well.

Edit: Just an idea I had for making wonders more exclusive without a hard limitation. You can put in a world wonder per era that you can only build if all techs in that era have been researched. So if you want the ancient era wonder you're best bet is not to get many techs in the classical era but focus on fully researching the ancient era first. Or you can just research what you want but then you'll get the wonder much later or another civ will have gotten it already.

I don't want to sound condescending but that idea is rediculous. First of all the conditions are being reviewed on the basis of over-limitation already and may adopt a similar structure to WOTAW, please look at post #12 for a couple of questions I've put up for the community on the matter.
But back to the suggestion, the implication you've suggested is that wonders have been build not after reaching a technology, but infact the entire paradigm change of the society. That sounds way off base in the historical applications of the wonders. Essentially it suggests that the Pyramids, and the rest of the Ancient Wonders, were built around the first Millenium BCE.

I must honestly say I don't completely understand your point here, might be because English is not my native language. Let me put it in other words.

There could be one new wonder per era. And you'd have to complete all techs in said era to be able to build it. Obviously, this is not specificly about the ancient wonders but could be done all across the techtree (one wonder for every era).
