Ancient Middle East map.

Thanks TLC:)

btw I fixed the reveal map map a long time ago, you should have downloaded the update:p

I will upload the new version later today.

I've checked 16 civs as "playable" under Scenario properties, and these are the only ones you can chose to play or actively chose as opponents. But if I set an opponent slot to "Random", any old civ (from the TAM rules, of course) gets selected.

I looked in the biq file, couldn't see any mistakes. Then I startet a game with all civs random. All the civs were the correct. TLC I think its your com thats on drugs or something:p

Yes I have the same version installed. I startet some more games. No wrong civs showed up, but some didn't appear:hmm:

Im gonna do a few map changes to make it fit the TAM better;)

Go ahead. I've noticed that resources could use some fine-tuning; way too many civs don't have Copper and/or Tin within reasonable distance from their start loc, for instance, and the European mainland has no Iron.

Sorry I didn't release it yesterday, but I got sick. I'll put it up tomorrow:)

Looks like an excellent map.

Only a few of comments:

(1) I would delete Tobacco as a resource if this is supposed to be "ancient", since Tobacco is a new world crop.
(2) Maybe add some named barbarian villages to simulate minor tribes in the region.
(3) The sea of Galille & the Dead Sea look a bit odd in shape, though I understand that might be a limit of the map editor.
(4) I'd add Carthege and rename it "Phonecians" with a start location at ancient Tyre. I'd also make Assyrians & Israel, maybe add Media.

All in all, an excellent map, one I'm sure to enjoy playing!
:)

not bad, but one comment. when starting a game on this map, the ai will be stupid. when you start a new game the ai will build a city where they start. my problem is the bysantines and the ottomans probably wont know what to do.oh well. ps does anyone know why theodora was chosen to lead the bysantines. wouldnt it make more sense to have constance as their leader.

I know the Byzantines and Ottomans are very close, it's intended. They actually play alright. My intension was that, since they have the same capital, they should start on each side of the Bosperus, representing that the city lies on both sides.

They made Theodora leader because they wanted more female leaders.

Can I use this map if I don't have conquests?
