(2) - Discover Metallurgy, enter the Industrial Ages. Buy a Worker from Babylon for 30 gold; good because we won't be paying support for it. No one has anything to trade. Start Steam Power. 25 turns at -11 gpt
(4) - Hiawatha demands Economics, I refuse. If they had declared war, we could have signed the Russians against them and devastated their continent.
(5) - Magnetism and Metallurgy to India for Democracy and WM. That was really just an excuse to get them into the Industrial Ages so we can trade with them.
(6) - We complete Newton's

We don't really have anything to build, but I start Smith's as a prebuild for a Factory. We may lose the prebuild, but there isn't anything else worthwhile available. Research reduced to 16 turns, still at -11 gpt.
(8) - Germany declares war on Greece. Uh-oh. Prepare for Greece to be occupied.
(9) - France and Germany sign an MPP. It's looking bad for Greece. Knossos is already German.
(11) - Athens completes Smith's. No more prebuild for us. Paris completes Shakespeare's. Our prebuild is switched to a Knight for lack of anything better.
(12) - Babylon and Germany sign an MPP. Goodbye, Greece.
(13) - Disband the veteran Archer and move our new Knight into its place.
(15) - We lose our Horses, Dyes and Spices. Rebuy them along with Free Artistry, WM and 50 gold from the Iroquois for Economics. Buy two Workers off of Greece for 60 gold (better us than Germany). Suddenly, our whole continent has Steam Power, so it's due in 1 turn.
Surprisingly, Greece hasn't yet triggered Germany's MPPs with Babylon and France and they have also lost no more cities after Knossos. Nonetheless, things are longing grim for Alex.
