I have just found out that Denouncing the AI removes their repetitive request to set up an embassy in your capital.

Is there any negatives to this action, not noticed.

Sure
1. A noticeable side effect is they will give you very little in trade value, practically worthless. 6GPT for a lux if not denounced 1gold - 1 GPT if denounced.
2. Them and their friends will like you less for it , denounced -8 , denounced a friend/ally -6
3. They can declare a cheaper war on you (less war weariness and diplomacy penalties)
