Would CFC accept a challenge for a game from another website?

Since there is considerable time before Civ4 ISDG would start, and the main purpose of this forum is to provide training for the ISDG, would CFC be willing to play a short friendly game with some other website. Let's say pangea, duel size map, 2 civs only, quick speed?

Might such a training game include an open exchange of information after its over? And by friendly I assume you mean out of game friendly -- inside the game it doesn't seem to be in doubt which path to victory would be followed. ;)

Well, I actually had in mind a team of Russian civfanatics. I doubt that even if they open the forum, you would be able to get a lot of useful information from there.

Sounds like fun Akots. I'm in.
I presume this is the same group (Mahler) we are playing in the 3x3 PBEM?

Nope, this is a (ahem) stronger (??) and larger group. The citizens are in the process of building up the state but it is substantially less complicated than at CFC, so it can be finished anytime soon.

As Whomp & I found out in a couple of duels, Games that have this "pangea, duel size map, 2 civs only" are very quick. The don't offer much in the way of insights into the game unless your initial warrior is left to defend your capital.

If something like this was to take place, it would have to be a little bigger and/or not pangea. duel sized maps are very tiny and if your initial warrior isn't left to defend your capital then you run the risk of your opponent randomly finding your city and destroying you within say 15 turns.

Well, we can modify the game to have a starting archer (which is supposed to stay in the capital) in addition to the warrior. (So, whoever is the first to chop an axeman wins  ). Besides, the main purpose of the game would be to consolidate the team and prepare for ISDG. Also, observe and take note of some bugs and unusual features. By no means this was implied as a full-scale game. Also, playing a quick speed might be helping with the issues you mention because by the time the warrior arrives to the capital, there should be a defender built there. I've also thought about it.
