Antonius Block's Learning Experience 1: Zulu Dawn

What's HBR? I'm trying to figure it out...

Once again it seems like you've done a good job, hotrod.

Oh, horse back riding. Stupid me.

got it, will play tonight unless someoneelse can before me. ill try to go until we kill or mortally wounr persia and let block finish x-man off. should i just build impis? or should i buid horsemen, or archers?

Hotrod talked about the very nice, very mobile combo of Impi and horsemen- the horsemen for attack, the impi for defense in transit and leaving in captured cities.

I take it hotrod did not hook up to the iron north of us, something I'd been thinking of doing but unsure whether to waste a settler in the arctic or waste a worker on a colony build. If we capture a Persian iron town (should be an early objective, there is one fairly close to our position) then a few swordsmen in the mix might not be a bad thing.

No didn't get to the iron source yet there were many other more productive cities to be had first. The capital should get a settler out quickly to claim that iron. We are still short of works, I did lose 1 to barb horseman that came out of the fog :(.

The last city I built before the war is in trouble of being taken by Persia I didn't have any available units to get to it before it got overwhemled by persian archers.

ok, so the goals of my turn are to build up 50% horsemen and 50% impis? also to get iron hooked up, correct. i will build matbe 10 warriors first to get i nec upgrade (if you want me to that is)

didnt feel comftoradel waging war, so i only played 10 turns.we are producing alot, but they have some immortals coming. hopefully, we can use mobility to our advantage. that or wait until knights,
