I'm most familiar with the 4th series.
Especially the episodes with Rik Mayall as Lord Flasheart and the one where Blackadder is sentenced to death...
I have all 4 seasons on DVD, so maybe I should watch them all again some time...

BA is the only series I know which progressively got better with each season.
The first one was very "meh", but from there on, it is a riot!

It was on American TV some years ago. My favorite was the WWI version (Blackadder Goes Forth). I guess I'm a longtime Rowan Atkinson fan, from his radio sketches (Father of the Bride) to some of his Movie appearances (Hot Shots Part Deux, "They tied my shoelaces together, the fiends!"). And of course, Mr. Bean.

Blackadder Goes Forth is my favorite series as well. Aside from Atkinson (a genius as always), Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie, and of course Tony Robinson are all brilliant in their respective roles.
