Any good places to find info on Espionage

I want to know how you can try to use espionage succesfully, and if it is possible to detrmine if a spy will be caught, among other things. Can somone give me some links, or if there is no source already made maybe this coul be added to the war academy?

Also, just wondering which espionage ability you use most, and in what difficulty level.

EDIT: And some more things: If i get declared war on when a spy is discoverd does that count as me initiating the war (war weariness) and does it trigger my mutual protection pacts?

well im not sure if its really possible to determine if a spy is caught but obviously the safer the mission is peformed(the more money you pay) the less the chance the spy will be caught.

I mainly use the troop location ability in monarch level. I also use the technology steal ability a fair bit

It counts as them initiating the war.

Mutual protection is only triggered upon attack. For example, you have a MPP with Civ #1, and Civ #2 has an MPP with Civ #1 as well. If you declare war on Civ #2 and go over to their territory and attack them, Civ #1 will declare war on you. However, if you declare war on Civ #2 and wait for them to come over and attack you on your territory, Civ #1 will declare war on Civ #2. It all depends on who attacks who, not who declares war.
