Figured everyone was getting their copies of PTW at EB, so located the nearest store and sneaked out of the office to get it. The store had none on display, had to ask the guy behind the counter to dig one up from the back of the store.

For those who live round here... EBX, Park Meadows Mall, Littleton CO...

OK, this is ridiculous. I'm not going to leave work to go pick up PTW until I know it's on the shelves. I called this morning and they said call at 1pm. So I did. The guy said it wasn't in yet, and that I should try back later. So I phoned an hour later - busy. I tried every 10 minutes for an hour - busy. For the last 30 minutes, I have been calling every minute (work is boring) - still busy! what gives?

Holy cow!! You won't believe this. I just went to Electronics Boutique to get my copy of PTW, and take a look at the line!!!!

I've got it, btw. The game store in the basement of Eaton Centre in downtown Toronto has it. Looks great, although obviously I'm not playing MP yet.

Played a bit as a Celt on the european terrain set; it's a little too dark (a'la TOT) but cool as a novelty. Now playing a regent regicide game as the Vikings, isolated on some frickin' island.

Well, I'm going to get it tomorrow. I've decided to sell a bad Gamecube game and use the money to buy it, but my local Gamestop hasn't gotten shipment yet! So, I'll have to go tomorrow after school, but I'm calling once more now (just to check).

Oh, and I plan to do a game with Celts, then Vikings, then Carthaginians, facing all PTW civs. Then I'll try warpstorm's terrain, do some scenerios, and dive right into MP. Good news: I have half-day tomorrow at school, then Friday off, than Saturday and Sunday: thats alot of civving!!!

I got it from EBGames in City Center Mall. They opened the box from the shipping bay just for me Apparently they have only one phone line into the store, and they were using it for a conference call for two hours. That's why I couldn't get through. And my copy only cost $48.14

So now I've got it! Hooray!

Sold out at Walmart and then wise cracking "you should have preordered" from mall game store but I reply "you should have sold more than two copies today" and bought mine (after a hassle over the 'stolen' credit card I was using).
