Well, something that doesn't necessarily involve a format...

What I hate about Windows is that when it makes a mistake it has to let you know about it over and over and over...

How do you get rid of this?

Well, you're trying to access the shortcut somehow, someway. Was it part of your drive maps? You can remove it there by clicking on Tools/Disconnect Network drive.

At least, that's what it looks like. Or something is trying to access it, thinking it's there. You need to tell it it's not there anymore. Without knowing what's trying to access it, I can't really tell you how to delete it. Perhaps somone else knows. . .

Check if it's pointing to the right .exe/file/folder. Or you could check in msconfig. To do so: Choose "Start" --> Run > Type "msconfig.exe" and have a look if there's something connected to your problem.

are you getting it when you start up your computer or when you click on the shortcut? EIther that or if it really doenst exist on your HD and you need to delete the short cut and so you stop clicking on it ;) or you need to take it out of your startup folder in windows explorer.

It shows every time I start the computer.

If somebody knows where in the System Registy is the list of programs to be run at start-up I can clear it up.

Search for the key Run, and chose match whole string, and IIRC there are several places in the registry where it can be found. Windows runs all programs in the list at startup. I think you can know you've found one if the key below is called RunOnce.

Thanks, funxus
