It's 5:45 AM on the West Coast and I see that the EB games page that said "Ships on 10/24/2005" just a few hours ago now says "Ships on 10/25/2005."

Actually, according to Civ II, your warship full of Marines raiding a coastal town wouldn't be pirates, they'd be barbarians.

So i called my local ebgames and asked if they were still reserving the CE version and they said yes, so i went and put my $5 down since they said they will have it tomorrow around 2pm. So at worst i guess i'll loose $5 if amazon comes through.

not sure of eb's policies, but at gamestop you can decide against the purchase and get your money back as store credit.

Also, ordering overnight is not wasted, you'll get it Wednesday while someone with 2-day shipping will get it Thursday. You're still getting it earlier because you ordered overnight delivery.

I'm glad I took Wednesday off work instead of Tuesday, just in case something like this happened.

Not really.....the last game I ordered overnight got to my house about 3:00pm....the damn store will have it at 11:00am....so for an extra $10 I get to wait 4 hours....gee thanks Gamestop.

Well, just got off the phone with my local (Niagara Falls, ON) EB, and the guy there said that there were two dates on the computer, the 25th and 27th, and he wasn't sure what one was right, but to assume the 27th.

Mine too. It seems Take2Store was a good choice!
Waiting... expect it in a week or so (choosen Priority Airmail which was just cheapest option)

Im just pissed cause i upgraded my order on amazon from 3-5 day shipping to two-day, and that in turn bumped my "Estimated Shipping Date" back 2-3 days, effectively wasting the $5 i spent to upgrade it. So hopefully amazon wont be jerks and theyll ship my order before absolutley everyone else in america and it will get here on the 28th. Thats alot more acceptable than Nov. 2 though.

I usually order my things through Amazon...but have learnt to never mess with an order once placed. Nov 2nd for me..I'll just arrange a "family emergency" for the 2 days after it has arrived (its good to be the boss )
