I have, installed it. Ran the tutorial and then played a couple turns as aztecs. had to go do something - saved game. exited. small flash of run time error. now game wont run at all wont even load. called support - it is not a civ4 bug which is why i didnt put this there. My soundcard is no longer listed as a device. My computer mechanic is coming over later. I have the game installed and my computer wont run it. Am amzed by what I saw like type of map and a scenario of Ice Age. Scenario of WWII is just the desert war.
Greek scenario where you can be 1 of 3 civs. it's amazing - I am now foaming at mouth and driving nails into my eyes.

i have it, it is installing right now.
i picked it up from gamestop just a few minutes ago.
i guess they got thier shipment in here in sarasota, FL at
about 11:30 AM.

I have installed and played the short tutorial. Love the graphics. So far I love the game. Starting a full name in a sec. I have not heard Leonards voice yet.

Pull your sound-card out (physically), put it back in and reintall the drivers. I've had this happen to me (though not with civ4)

Got my copy for $34.99 plus tax. I went to Fry's Electronics at 4pm today and they did not have it in yet, but expected it by 6pm. I asked how much it would be, and they said $36.99. Drove 10 minutes up the road to Best Buy, and they had it for $49.99. I told them that Fry's was going to get their shipment in soon, and they would have it at a cheaper price. The guy at Best Buy price matched it, but did it for $15 instead of $13.

ive had the game 9 hours and get it to load and go to play and when i go to play my screen stays black except the units and the resources yeah right

I picked up my Special Edition copy yesterday at 4:30 p.m. from EB Games at Lakeside Mall. I'm in Michigan. Only had about an hour to play it, but I like what I see so far. I choose Gandhi to check out the worker UU.
Sadly I won't be able to get back to it until Friday

BTW, I have been reading on this forum every since CIV 3 came out and have enjoyed it

There is one advantage of not getting civ4 till the 4 nov.
Any installation problems, are usually sorted by then
