APETO - [GoobNES01-Fallout]

To Thailand and Australia,

I believe that the Khmer Alliance has a right to take the former Burmese lands. I shall withdraw my threats but I don't believe that the annexation of Burmese lands by Thai or Australian forces would contribute to the well-being of Khmer Burma and Thailand.

With regards to our annexation, the PEOPLE have requested to join us. We did not invade first and ask later.

Tun Abdul Razak.

Thailand is announcing that it will be restoring order to the parts of Burma that were not taken over by the "NKE terrorists and rebels", and dares any nation to stop it. That land will be saved from anarchy, and permitted to bask in the glory of the great nation of Thailand, and there is nothing that any of you can do about it!!!

OOC - The Monarch of Thailand is a puppet of a rather right-wing Military General, in case you guys didn't know. Read the update for more info.

Thank you, Mr. Razak, we appreciate you standing up to the tyrants that hold power in Thailand, but we are more interested in bringing our own lands under control now.

OOC - This update. When i get home from a day of joyful school, of course.

- discussion on SEATO Projects

- decision on NAP (7 aye) C.U. votes AYE.
PS. The C.U. would like to note rising tensions between Thailand and the Khmer Alliance and suggests the two governments sort out their differences in negotiations before any more ill feelings is allowed to brew.

- decision on MPP (5 aye, 1 nay, 1 undecided) C.U. votes AYE

- decision on Nuke Weapons (1 aye, 5 nay, 1 undecided): gee, I'm all for it. Kidding, ABSTENTION. I think we should keep a small stockpile for DEFENSIVE PURPOSES ONLY!

- proposal for nuclear cleaning research project (1 aye, 0 nay, 6 undecided)
C.U. votes AYE

- decision on Indonesia's membership
C.U. votes NAY

(looks like she's gonna be a part of Malaysia (willingly!) and Australia. Hold some elections later and see what the locals think about it.

Hmmm is that ironic? Hard to tell.

Edit: never mind, you were talking about Goober saying thing about joyful day at school, I suppose

By the way, there are no tensions between us and the Thais. Quit assuming. :p

[ooc] ok, will do -hate 10 character thingy- oh and I was talking to Goober so no fear hehe :) [/ooc]

To: Khmer Alliance
From: C.U.

Congratulations on your new good-willed government. May you lead your people with great success.

To CU
From NKE
Thank you, to you also. We just wish those Thais would stop with their "abusing Burmese people" rhetoric

To Thailand,

I cannot believe that you have done what you did to the Royal Family of Thailand. You atrocious acts are beyond comprehension.
We demand two things.
First, that you return ALL former Burmese land to Khmer Burma.
And second, that you make a public apology to the world for what you did and COMPENSATE as well as REINSTATE the remaining heir to the Thai throne.
Failure to do so will result in a vote to be taken to remove Thailand from SEATO as well as the breaking of the military alliance between Malaysia and Thailand.

Tun Abdul Razak,
Prime Minister of Malaysia.

[ooc] Ooopps, sorry Goober, I just didn't notice my 13.000 troops in the colonies, not used to it. [/ooc]

Toteone - Ok, good. I said that in the reply to your PM.

To Malaysia,
From Thailand,

The Royal Family was useless, a joke, and had no legitimacy! they were inefficient, and bureaucratic! I needed to become leader of Thailand for the good of all Thais. The part of the former Burmese land taht we have restored peace to is ours! You keep your head out of our internal Affairs, damn it! We did what we had to to the Royal Family of Thailand because the Thai people demanded it! We took part of Burma because the NKE was going to take it, and probably Thailand as well! Out internal Affairs are our internal affairs! And consider our alliance broken, you are a weak and pathetic nation, peace-mongerers! You should apologize to the Thai people for trying to meddle in our internal affairs!

[ooc] wow... watch the fur fly... [/ooc]

Dear gentlemen of the assembled SEATO.

Our casualties in the Vietnam war were significant but our enemy incurred greater losses, the report from the battlefield:

CASUALTIES - North Vietnamese

100% of the Air Force
48.000 Troops, 400 Tanks
1 Battleship & 2 Destroyers
(1 North V Stability level)

CASUALTIES - Allied

7.500 South Vietnam, 5.000 Conscripts
7.400 Spanish
5.000 C.U.
5.000 USSR
4.500 Thailand
1.000 Acadian and Quebec
1.000 Malaysian
750 South African = 37.150/48.000 = ca. 0,77

150 USSR Tanks, 10 C.U. Tanks = 160/400

1 Spanish Battleship, 1 USSR Destroyer, 1 USSR Cruiser = 3/3 = 1
(1 lost N.V. Destroyer instead of Cruiser)

30 USSR Interceptors, 25 USSR Fighters/ca. 250 N.V. air = 0,2
----------------

1) The skies are clear.
2) North Vietnam has few tanks left (ca. 200)
3) North Vietnam now has a clearly outnumbered and inferior army (less educated).
X) North Vietnam has declared her intent to continue her attempts at reunification. We are thus still at war with this aggressive regime.

Battle Plan (please contribute):

Primary: Armored Vehicles (Adnan tanks if possible), Bombers *& more Troops
Secondary: shore bombardment vessels, special forces, fighters

It is the knowledge of Allied Command that we are superior in numbers, technology (edu.) and material. In order to keep the coming losses at a minimum a sharp, killing and LARGE spearpoint will be needed.
*Please note that even though allied forces have eliminated 48k soldiers, the North Vietnamese have trained and equipped another 25k soldiers replacing many of their losses.
Our intelligence believes they may mobilize and conscript thus further increasing their numbers. However Allied Command intends to replace the lost soldiers and aquire reinforcements through other means so there will be no attempt to place the burden upon SEATO. However, feel free to send more troops to aid our Vietnamese friends, allies and would-be SEATO members.

In memorandum of lost troops,
-C.U. PM

Thailand announces that we will no longer be supplying troops to this coalition, we no longer feel it in our interest.

South Vietnam apologizes for all the deaths, and thanks all of the Allied troops for their kindness in saving our great nation. South Vietnam also reminds Allied forces that attacking North Vietnam might provocate China, and wishes for the Allied forces to stay and defend South Vietnam so we can rebuild, and keep the North at bay, rather then take out the North. We would like nothing more then a United Democratic Vietnam, but we fear that China will react negatively to a Communist nation being invaded and annexed.

Allied Command has discussed this matter with South Vietnam.

The northern regime does not wish for peace but subjugation of South Vietnam, in the long term it may be impossible to keep such large forces stationed in defence.

China is a much more peaceful nation then North Vietnam, and would not act against what the world has clearly seen (with the exception of 3 Nay's and 7 Abstentions in the U.N.) as a unified action to reclaim the rightful land of democratic Vietnam. Ask the Russians, ask the Spanish, ask most SEATO nations. Our coalition spans five continents, soon it may be six.

[size=+3]SEATO Update T3[/size]

By a unanimous vote, SEATO nations are to sign Non-Aggresion Pacts with one another.
In addition, the SEATO Charter is also a Mutual Protection Pact.
As such, the charter has been updated.
The updates are as follows: -
- member states pledge not to conduct any overt or covert acts of aggression against each other.
- member states may request for defensive military aid and member states are obligated to provide it to the best of their ability.

Nuclear weapons are NOT to be developed by SEATO-wide projects due to overwhelming votes against it.

--

As an update of current proposals, the votes are: -

- membership of South Vietnam into SEATO - 2 aye, 0 nay, 1 abstains
Undecided Nations - Khmer Burma, Australia, Japan, The Phillipines

Undecided Nations - Khmer Burma, Australia, Japan, The Phillipines, Thailand

--

Additionally, Malaysia would like to propose the expulsion of Thailand from SEATO for conducting heinous crimes against the Royal Family of Thailand as well as invading the soveriegn land of Burma, WITHOUT the support of the people.
Malaysia votes AYE!

Australia votes aye to all proposals except the one about Thai expulsion, to which we abstain.
