After all, I just created my account over there to get access to the member list and was I quite saddened after I stayed there a little longer, to see that this place which once so helpful and amusing for me, has become a lot quieter than I remembered it to be.

How bad is it actually? Does it shows up quite frequently or just once in a while? And for how long do these blackouts actually occur? Are there nothing more than a little annoyance once a week or can they be as frustating as being there like for a couple of hours or even days?

That it is...but the mods in charge of that decided to not do anything for 4 months and then left to start a new website...so go figure why it still looks ugly

I'd expect (ok, hope) that it gets changed in the next 2 weeks, month at the outside.

I was one of the few people who had the old poly on light-basic, ye old white and red colour scheme. I'd appreciate that one back, but I'd just prefer a black and gray colour scheme to save my eyes from hurting so much.

There are lots of free forum skins out there for download... don't know why Poly hasn't done that. They could download one and make some site specifc changes to it.

They would need to make you an admin to do it, since styles and template are inside the admin control panel.
