Apple Cult -- All Just Vacuous Branding?

A lot of Apple PCs come loaded with Office, while very few if any Windows machines do anymore.

It makes perfect sense, but it's still kind of ironic.

Really? Most of the PC users I know have office on their PC, and I don't have Office on my iMac... I use Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.

I would like to see an actual chart that shows the percentage of PC users with office versus the Mac.

Sure a lot of Windows machines have Office, but do they come with it out of the box? That's the distinction I'm trying to draw.

I was not aware that Macs come with Office out of the box. Mine certainly didn't. And I fail to see a significant difference between people having office pre installed on their computer and people buying office as soon as they buy the computer (which is almost always the case)

Piracy isn't really an issue if it comes with the computer.

The only thing Apple does well is design for the GUI and the things which customers can see and feel while the actual guts inside tend to be a generation or more out of date with worse specs than the competition. It's the triumph of style and marketing over substance.

I don't think you're an idiot because you want technology that "just works".

I want a car that "just starts".

None of that is accurate for their software.
