Are heroes immune from plague?

I have killed with a soldier of kilmorph typhoid mary, after i have seen that it had a new characteristic: plagued.I assume that with this new characteristic i can plague enemy units.So i attack Basium hero, after losing my unit i notice that basium is not plagued.So are heroes immune to plague?

I think only the Plague Carries can spread the plague to other civilizations ?

IIRC Plagued units can spread it to your other units, though. Could be wrong there. In any case, I'm pretty sure most if not all heroes have the Immune to Disease promotion.

diseased units spread disease.
plagued units cannot spread plague. only typhoid mary can spread plague.

Nope, a lot doesnt have... Actually the only one I remenber seeing the Imunne to Disease promotion was on Rosier the Fallen...

Yeah, only Typhoid Mary can spread the plague and it can effects any living unit that isnt immune to disease (including heroes). My poor Rantine died to it in my last game .

I lost the Baron to the plague in my last game

My mistake. Valin also has the promotion - a quick read through the Heroes section of the pedia will tell you who else does.
