Another community member said that in his own modded games, he moved the :c5gold: on exploration to all recon units in the UA. Then, he lowered the yields on bandeirantes.

That's a nice idea; it reduces the incentive not to explore early as Brazil right now.
That's an option. It doesn't have anything with the current UA, though, so if this change makes it to the game, the civ will need to change entirely.

I am in favor to make the civ a commercial diplomatic civ, similar to Morocco but focused on diplomats.

I'm not saying Brazil should be another specific religion focused civ. I meant it should have at least a religious component in its kit, whatever it be. All of it's components are suitable for it without making it the sole focus, we just have to find a way for it to not overtake the civ's game play, and make it more like a incidental "plus". I tried it with one of my suggestions in my earlier post in the UA, but it can be literally anything other than military.

What about a unique missionary that grants a tourism boost instead of/in addition to spreading religion? I'm not too sure about how this might fit Brazil historically, but something about their kit makes me think a more active tourism mechanic might fit.

Another mechanic that might fit thematically would be an addition to clearcutting, such that removed jungles are replaced with an appropriate Brazilian crop or provide a more significant boost of some kind.

This would be a jesuit, but there was no tourism here when they were around, because there was no country yet. Something like the Hun's current UA, but instead of converting units in combat it would convert workers when spreading religion?

If we're to mimic real life every removed jungle/forest will be replaced with a farm/cattle/pasture. Brazilwood camps need jungle, how would that work?

I think I'm actually able to sponsor the Riachuelo attack refresh. All the other changes are database only, unless I'm missing something.

Glad you are keeping the Amazonas. I'm against the emphasis on religion, its a secular state with non-practicing religious people, an heterogeneous "church" and politics more open minded than most other nations in the game. Unless you design Brazil around the early years of Portuguese colonization, but thats not really Brazil.
