I watch bonecanoe, and I usually enjoy his videos...but he doesn't manage his workers directly (which was THE most important habit I learned as a new Civver), and sometimes he makes really odd decisions. Last night, while watching his France playthrough, I noticed he had a size four city working on a Colosseum, of all things.
