Are there any mods to make Civ2 look like Civ1?

Ahh! While doing my lost Civ2 websites search I came across John Valdez's old website called Civilization Partisans Hideout, thought of @CivPartisan here, looked at some of his early history, and sure enough he and the great John Valdez who did so many amazing modpacks back in the day are one and the same!

@CivPartisan is still semi-active so if you see this thread John then I hope you don't mind that we tinkered around with your old work and did some crazy stuff with it lol! In summary I took your mod and 'demastered' it to original Civ1 graphics and then @Kasius Klej took it even further did a huge modpack with all sorts of things including custom herald replacements.

Also it looks like there's other weirdos like us out there haha as I've found a bunch of Civ1 mod projects for other Civ games! A few of these are lost though but I'm talking to the authors and hopefully can track down the files. Then I can turn my eventual video about our mod into a whole video series on these Civ1 mods which will be fun!

Not aware of any Civ1 mods for Civ5 or Civ6 at this point in time. Younger fan bases so probably less interest plus harder to mod those ones lol.
