I have frequented boards on the internet since 2000s - tip.it for Runescape, then diabloii.net for Diablo 2, then this board. I usually hung out at OT parts or art sub-forums. Naturally I wondered what is being a mod like. Few years ago I was made a mod on a small twitch channel owned by a Canadian variety streamer. I used to wake up at 4 am Latvian time to go for early jogging and then I chilled going on that stream.
The stream was very small, so there wasn't much to moderate. I connected with the streamer over similarities regarding our plans to open a cafe or a small restaurant.
Some months later he stopped streaming and I wasn't waking up at 4 am either. But my wish came true to see the "mod" next to my nickname. That's the tale.
