For those who don't know, the Tea Party is about one and only one issue: Federal spending, taxation, and debt have gotten completely out of control, and if we don't start hacking away at these things like Jason Voorhees at a Crystal Lake Frat Party, future generations will read about the collapse of the USSR and the collapse of the USA on consecutive pages in their history books. Although generally associated with conservatism, it is not about gay marriage or getting Creationism into schools or whatever nonsense Michelle Bachmann and other rightards have been blathering about lately.

Similarly, the "Occupy (insert location here)" movement is fundamentally opposed to one thing: cronyism. While the leftards among them, who seem to be a majority, believe that a lack of regulation of big business by big government is the problem, one could also argue that cronyism is the inevitable result of the marriage of big business and big government, and the more power we allow Congress to have over the economy, the more big business will corrupt that power and use it to their own advantage rather than for the common interest.

I consider myself more or less aligned with both of these groups, despite each one's false portrayal as being the other's opposite-wing counterpart. This no doubt confuses those of you who are still brainwashed into believing the "Red vs. Blue" nonsense. Ask me any questions that you have, and I will do my best to alleviate your confusion.
