TF, we can now upload a few attachments per post, right? How can we make an attached pix e.g. to appear in the middle of the post, rather than at bottom per normal?

I'm putting up an AAR (after action report) for a Victoria game I'm playing; can't figure how to do that...

What's wrong with the uploads feature? I tried to post some inline images last night, and couldn't do it with the "attach" feature either.

TF now has broader file administration abilities with the new file attachement systems. Things that we can't do with the easy upload system. Which is why we're trying to move away from it.

Well, I'm glad that this thing is going to make TF's life a little easier, I really am. But at the moment, I'm a little underwhelmed. One of the things I liked about the old board was the way I could preview a post with images inline. Right now I have an image that I'm attempting to attach that shows an annoying little "listbox artifact" that's floating around on my screen. I don't know if it will render properly in this post or not, because I can't preview it.

I'm sorry you're having problems.... there are going to be growing pains. Once we work through them, it'll be better all around.

Well, I certainly don't blame you guys for the problems. This is, after all, a Windoze machine...if it's not acting buggy, then it's probably about to crash! :p (the artifact was attached just to have something to attach, to see if I was doing it right...)

Regarding the new system, I'll get used to it. Who knows, I may even learn to like it... but I'm here for the content and contact with other civ'ers. The smileys and buttons and other stuff is just decoration.

With a SG running and the web browser on this site, I have noted that it is a 'higher overhead' system than the old. I guess I'll either have to get a faster machine, or learn to surf this site or play the game... hmmm...or maybe I'll just have to get another machine and set up a little LAN at home... hmmm... decisions, decisions...improvise, adapt, overcome.... :D
