In a previous game Iwas playing as Bannor. I declared war against the Sheaim and went into Crusade. The other evil civs declared war on me including the Infernals. However, I was unable to move units into their territory.

Is it possible to attack the Infernals on their home turf?

Were burning sands blocking you? Ordinarily you can enter their territory, but if burning sands are blocking you you'll need Spring (Water I) or Sanctify (Life I) to clear them.

(Burning sands are the hellish version of desert; they are on fire so units without fire resistance can't enter them.)

Thanks. Still new to FfH but am finding it enjoyable to play.

There may be a bug at work here. I noticed in a recent game that flames (regular forest fires, but it's the same animation) were not showing up and you could only discern their presence from terrain tooltips. I didn't think much of it at the time. Acheron was on screen and I figured it was just my slow machine choking on animations.

Major Mayhem, did you see great gouts of flame leaping up from the desert tiles? That's what it is supposed to look like until you use put out the flames or sanctify it.

There were great gouts of flame. I did not have access to water mana so I did not have any mages that could cast a spring to try that out.

conquer a civ, or get metamagic mana and make some water mana nodes, they will be useful in dealing with the flames. life(sanctify) is also essential when dealing with infernals.
