I have a bunch of songs on a couple of music CDs I'd like to store on my PC; figured it'd save space to save them as MP3s. What program can I use (preferably something free fr the Net; so I'm cheat :p) to do this? Thanks.

I have an old version of Real Jukebox that can do it. I'm sure there are others who can give you better help.

Goldwave (www.goldwave.com) can rip CD's into wav files. Then simply use a wav to mp3 converter if you can't find a program that does both.

Windows Media Player (9.x?) converts audio cds into WMA files, which seems to be about the same size as MP3. That's how I've done it the few times I've tried.

Thanks, guys, :goodjob:; I'll definitely try them out when I've the time. :) When I have the time...

I usually use Musicmatch Jukebox , although if you just want to convert them (not archive them as well) it might be a bit of an overkill ;)

I think in the free version the ripping speed is limited
