auto save error

Hi folks,

Just installed Civ IV BTS and patched the game to version 3.19.

I started a new game and right from the start a popup tells me the game cannot create an autosave file. I can continue playing but at regular intervals the popup appears telling me it cannot autosave my game.

Any thoughts on how to combat this issue?

did some more searching on the forum and the error is exactly like the one described here, first thumbnail with the popup.

It sounds like the game can not write to the folder. Is it running as administrator?
