Duel with Master Wu among the Peach Blossoms
Steven Wong was training his students in the Peach Blossom School. He had just shouted "The Dragon Flies Forward" and his students had just made an impressive flying kick followed by a equally elegant and powerful back kick when James Fox, the forty years old African American businessman and friend of Steven, entered the School. "Hey, pal! How are y' doing?", he said while smiling.
"Continue the exercise!", Steven instructed his students and then replied to James, "I'm alright, old pal. How about you?"
James sighed. "I'm ok. But I ended my relationship with Katherine."
Steven laughed. "I was wondering when she would dump you! Your last relationship with Kate had lasted seven months and the one with Mary five."
"This is different, pal. She did not dump me because she caught me with an other woman as the others did. I really liked Katherine!"
"Then why did she dump you?"
James took a deep breath. "I was the one that caught her with an other man. I told her that we will continue our relationship if she agrees to not see this man again. And then she told me that she liked him more than me and dumped me!"
Steven could not help but laugh.
"Why do you laugh?!", half-angrily and half-joking James asked.
"It is divine justice. You liked cheating your girlfriends with other women, but the one woman you did not cheated and loved her dumped you for an other man."
At that time, three men entered the School. The first was an old Chinese man, in his late sixties most likely, with long white hair and long white beard. He was wearing a purple silk gown, a traditional Chinese clothing and as such a sign that he surely was a Kung Fu Master. The other two men, also Chinese, were in their twenties and more modernly dressed: both wore black leather jacket, white shirt, blue jeans and wore sunglasses.
"What can I do for you?", Steven politely asked.
The old man gave an angry look at Steven and said, "I am Master Wu of Eighteen Dragons School. Chinese Martial Arts should be taught only to the Chinese. By teaching those Martial Arts to the Barbarians, you weaken our nation. So, I have decided to challenge you to a duel!"
"You are wrong, honorable sir. Chinese Martial Arts should be taught all over the world, so that Chinese culture may spread. Please, honorable sir, leave. I have no desire to fight with you."
One of the young men Wu brought with him shouted: "You are a coward, Steven!"
"Don't insult my Master!", one of the American students, Alexander, replied.
"Then come fight me!"
Indeed, Alexander charged forward. When he came close enough to Wu's student, whose name was Ma, Alexander launched his right fist and aimed at punching Ma's chest. Ma saw this and moved both his hands towards his chest to intercept the move. But, midway during the attack, Alexander pulled back his right hand and instead launched quickly his left fist, which punched Ma's right cheek, causing him to spit blood. Alexander then launched a back kick which hit hard Ma's chest and pushed him back against the School's wall. A 'bang' sound was heard when Ma hit against the wall and he collapsed on the ground. He was too much exhausted and beaten up to get up.
Without warning, Wu's second student, Zhao, attacked Alexander with a quick succession of flying kicks. Although the attack was sudden, Alexander managed to block the first kick with his right elbow. But the second kick was much stronger and faster that Alexander expected and he was forced to retreat by a few steps. The third kick was even faster and far more vicious and kicked Alexander's face, breaking his nose. Zhao then jumped upwards and landed his right elbow on Alexander's head. The attack almost opened Alexander's head and caused him to bleed profoundly. Blood poured from his wound, although Alexander's life was not in danger as three students immediately took him in their arms and rushed him outside the school, so that he could be taken to a doctor.
As soon as Alexander was out of the School, Wu asked, "You find my student impressive, right?"
"Not at all.", Steven replied. "He is too vicious. He did not warn Alexander that he would attack, even though this was supposed to be a friendly duel."
Wu laughed. "You are wrong. This is not supposed to be a friendly duel. This is a duel to smash your School and cripple all of your students!!"
Hearing this, two of Steven's students, who were both Chinese, charged at Zhao. Zhao dodged the attack and retreated by three steps. The first student then aimed at punching his fist at Zhao's head while the second aimed to kick Zhao's stomach. But Zhao used his left hand to block the first student's attack and his right hand to grab the second student's leg, just as it was about to complete it's kicking attack and hit Zhao. So, he both avoided and the fist and the kick! Zhao then, holding the second student's leg with his right hand, used his left elbow to smash it, breaking the student's leg. The first student attacked again, but Zhao dodged the attack and then launched a back kick which sent the first student flying at Steven, who was able to grab just in time the student before he could fall on him.
"I'm sorry, Teacher!", the student said and retreated.
James then turned to Steven and said, "Hey, old pal, shall I teach this guy a lesson?"
"Why not?"
Seeing James approaching him, Zhao laughed. "You better be in your company instead of getting into a fight you cannot win, old man! If I defeat you, I shall not spare you!"
James smiled. "What if I defeat
you?"
"Then....."
"Then you shall kiss my ass!"
Zhao, angered by this, charged at James, but he, instead of trying to dodge the attack or block it, launched a kick. The best defense is the offensive! Zhao was forced to stop his attack and retreat. He knew now that James was no easy enemy. James moved slowly towards Zhao while Zhao simply looked at James without making any movement at all. When James was close enough, Zhao launched a kick aimed at James' groins. James once again did the unexpected; instead of trying to defend against the enemy's kick, he launched himself a high kick aiming at Zhao's neck! Zhao, seeing this, pulled back his leg and retreated in order to avoid James' kick.
James laughed. "It seems that you are not as good as I thought you were!"
Zhao, totally furious, somersaulted at James, but he dodged the attack. Then, Zhao attacked again with two quick kicks, but James jumped and landed behind Zhao. He then kicked with a back kick Zhao's back, causing him to fall on the ground. Just about as he was to get up, James grabbed Zhao by the hair and punched his right fist at Zhao's face, blacking his right eye. Zhao fell once again to the ground.
"Dammit!", James shouted. "I should not have hit him so hard. Now he cannot kiss my ass!"
While Steven laughed, Wu was furious and attacked faster than anyone had expected. No one saw how he moved forward or what attack he used, but a few second later all students and Steven saw James pushed back.
"What attack did you use?", James asked, as even he did not notice what type of attack Wu had used.
Wu smiled and looked prideful.
"I just kicked your chest. Nothing exquisite."
Wu then launched an attack with the middle and index fingers of his right hand, aiming at strangling James but Steven, this time alerted, recognized the move and moved forward to block it. But Wu was faster and before Steven could realize it, he changed the focus of the attack; instead of hitting James, the two fingers of Wu aimed at Steven's neck! Steven was barely able to dodge the attack, more out of instinct than due to seeing the attack coming.
Wu laughed. "It seems that you are overrated! Why don't you team up with the black Barbarian to fight me together?!"
"Pal!", James said, "since he has no problem, let's team up!"
"Alright!", Steven replied.
At once, James launched a kick aimed at hitting Wu's face while Steven launched simultaneously both his fists, his left aiming at Wu's right cheek and his right fist aiming at punching Wu's chest. They had expected that their combined attack would surely defeat Wu. Instead, Wu launched a kick at Steven so quick that he could not avoid it and pushed him back while literally at the same time he used both hands to grab James' leg and cause him to lose his balance and fall on the ground.
"Get up bastards!", Wu shouted.
Indeed, Steven and James were quick to get up and launch a second attack. This time they used the 'Peach Blossoms Maneuver'; Steven faked a kick with his left leg at Wu's face while James faked an attack of his right fist aimed at Wu's chest. Instead, Steven pulled back his left leg when it was close to Wu's face and quickly punched his right fist at Wu's chest while James moved back his fist and equally fast kicked Wu's face. Wu had not expected this type of deception and so was not able to defend against the attack, as he had not expected that Steven and James would reverse their roles.
Steven shouted, "Twin Dragons Soar the Sky!" and both Steven and James at once launched a palm attack at Wu's right and left ear respectively. At the same time, they both launched a kicking attack aiming at Wu's chest. Wu defended against the kicks, but the palm attacks were too fast. The palms were punched on his ears with such immense strength, that Wu was deafened.
Then James, smiling, said, "Five Tigers Charge at Zu Taoist Warrior!"
Hearing this, Steven launched an attack with his middle and index fingers of his left hand at Wu's face while James launched an attack at the lower part of Wu's body. Wu, deafened and at pain, could not defend. Steven's fingers gouged out both of Wu's eyes while James' fist punched Wu's genetic organs, smashing them.
Before Wu could realize what hit him, James sent him flying against the School's wall with a flying kick. Wu hit the School's wall so hard that his back was broken. Then, Steven sped towards Wu and with a powerful back kick which hit his face smashed Wu's skull, killing him.
Both Steven and James laughed.
"Nice work pal!", James said. "Now, let's go for a beer!"
