I made the purchase on gamersgate this morning only to find out several hours later that they stuck up a notice that it will be available on the 26th so I emailed them for either a refund or a inshop credit. Im going to get it from best buy since I have to drive down there later tonight anyway.
If GG doesn't want to give a refund (since I havn't downloaded it I don't know why they wouldn't) or a credit, then it's the last $29.99 they will get from me and I've bought quite a few games from them in the past year or so. I don't forsee a problem although their faq's say nothing about refunds or credits. Had they had it up for release today, I wouldn't have bothered to go to the store when Im in town tonight.
I no longer buy from D2D as the last game I bought from them was a chess game that clearly advertised that it had multiplayer, only UBI had shut down the online servers years ago, and when I contacted D2D, they basically told me it's not their problem and that I would need to contact UBI and I told them "NO, you have to fix your false advertising, there is clearly no way to play this online anymore!". After bantering back and forth for 4 or 5 days they finally relented and issued a credit, to which I took it, and told them to flake off and have never bought from them again.
