If you read a little of the history around here, Anarres, you will realise that this is NOT in fact the case. An individual has transgressed, thrown himself on the mercy of the court and said, if I suffer in silence and promise to behave, will you commute my sentence?. The judge said ok. The individual then broke the terms of the deal and judge came down. I think this is fair enough and the individual concerned isnt complaining either. Its a private matter between the individual and the mods concerned although it has affected my SG - probably for the better
Well, I *did* read it, from the first post.
And if you read post 1, the quote from SB clearly indicates that cracker is giving 'rules' to SB, not SB suggesting them to cracker. It may be that cracker was just clarifying what had been discussed before, but that wasn't implied in any way in the post.
Also, please find me the bit where SB says 'if I suffer in silence', like you quoted? I never read that post! Where is the self-imposed silence on the issue?
You are a calm-bringer, and I wouldn't want to try and stop you, but I feel like a chatised school kid, and that ended for me over 10 years ago.
I do agree that this particular issue was a matter between SB and cracker, and they can do whatever they want together.
Again, my concern was much more general than this one issue, but very few people who have replied seem to be able to grasp the basics of my posts, or answer the questions raised. I seem to get (deliberately?) misunderstood in every one.
