There you go, tested it and it works. Sorry if the quality sucks, this was my first attempt.

Well, I already have it as an avatar, though it's bad quality.

If you're so kind as to make it good quality, (please?) then just keep it like that. Except a bit less fuzzy.

Here's your avatar. Had to set the compression settings as low as possible to get the best ballance between quality and acceptable size for using a custom avatar. With JPEGs, it's hard to avoid the fuzzyness (technicaly called Compression artifacts), the only way is to minimize it's effect is (if you have Paint Shop Pro or another image editing software that edits and saves JPEGs) by setting the compression factor to it's lowest setting.

Done. Probably not the best job ever but it's decent. I tried making it transparent but most of the ball was getting deleted too.

Actually, now that I post this it may make you go over the KB limit. I now mine did. I'll check and resize it.

Thank you both. It's been such a long time since I've switched avatars (two years, I believe) and knowing my rather lacking abilities, anything I could come up with would have been of a much less quality.

Ah, hang on, is it possible to get rid of the background colour? It comes up with a white background.

Are you using IE 6? Because I see the background as transparent.

I see it as transparent. It is only when I put it as my avatar that the background appears.
