Note: THe pedrov Avatar is open game. I just told him where to post the request :D

Let me add that something involving the thread machine is my first choice right now, but I like most of the other images as well. Please feel free to steal the images :ninja: for your own purposes without remorse. Have fun, and thanks for any help in advance! :thanx:

Many thanks for the effort to date. :worship:

Scream2 is really helped out by the background, gets rid of the bitmapping (?) around his head and body.

I like the smaller giacometti b/c you can see his torso as well.

The stash is lots of fun, you did the same thing I've done with it which is get rid of the cheesy torso add-on the original artist made. When I first saw it, I thought it would be fun to have him looking at something. Maybe he could be eating thread from a spool with some sort of hinge-jaw-looking monty-python like head. Or sucking up a thread from a spool like spagheti.

Kind of a bummer the thread machine is losing clarity when reduced. It's a very sharp image in its original format.

BTW, what do you think of the insane joker? Kind of reminded me of your avatar (which I now see is quite seasonal).

I've tried changing my avatar in the past but I got to many complaints from everyone so I stick with the same one. Although the Turkey day one is new :D

Oh Yeah I had to add one in for AJ. My pic not yours :mischief:

Ah... the ashley...

okay, found some spools if you're into the pasta-nietzsche head at all.

I'm just happy you got a chance to use the smug smilie.

:rotfl:

They look great. It's perfect for my "Gatherer of Loose Threads" title I'm waiting to unveil (7 days or so). [need a magician smilie here]

You working on any more? Of what I've seen so far, I'll probably stash away a handful and rotate through them over time.

The text works better on the side so we dont need to shrink the image so much.

I'll keep messing with them for a while and I'll post 'em here as I get them done. Seriously do you have a thread color choice?

Whatever color contrasts best with the white of the spool, the blue of the background, and of course, stash-head. The more easy it is to tell its a spool of thread, the better... maybe even accenting the thread on the spool (e.g., blowing up, accenting, then bringing back to size?). It looks good now though (especially the red) with the reflected light, so no big deal. Thanks a bunch for working on this by the way. I look forward to future incarnations/avatars.

You are mighty welcome.
This one will go into my file of backgrounds

I have a lot more chaos and other images but many of them are too large to post here. I generally collect a wide range of images to use for my fantasy football icons, though they usually don't size down well for me... I guess I have done some tranparency, but only with text. Here are my most recent two creations for football-driven madness.

edit: they seem extraordinarily large when posted here, usually much smaller (100x100 pixels or less).

went with the basic Santa hat and snowy background...I'll see if my creativity comes back to me in the morning ;) I attempted to put him in a full santa's suit but once it was all "on" it didn't look like the Napoleon anymore

You're an odd one Mr. Grinch....

I'm not quite sure what that "devil goat" and flem have to do with Football but hey to each his own.

It was a league of morons who all had really nasty names. Mine was the Front for the Liberation of Ecuadorian Mountain-goat-herders (FLEM). So I had an angry goat as a mascot. The others had really nice icons, such as:
