Sorry if this is a dumb question, but, has anyone ever tried making an A&A scenario based on the board game? It could be a very small map with each square representing a square on the board, using the same pieces, matching those pieces actual attack/defense with the game.

That might be kinda neat...

One problem with this type of scenario is the way in which combats are calculated in A&A. Whereas in Axis & Allies all attackers and defenders can MISS (and hits and misses are independent of the other side's hits and misses), there is always a victor in each Civ battle (on a hp by hp basis). In addition, there would be no selection of casualties, etc. Hence, you could mod a WWII scenario, but it really wouldn't play at all like the real Axis & Allies game.

That said, I believe that there are various WWII mods that can be downloaded (at least there were for Civ II!). I'd check out those mods and see what you think!

Axis and Allies is one underrated game game.

I love Axis and Allies. Got the PC version also. I have Fortress America and Shogun too. When i saw the WW2 scenario in Conquests, Axis and Allies was the first thing to come to mind :worship:
