B01 - Arrogant Fools

Spoiler Saves discussion :
God, that one is a bummer. Hopefully there's some iron, not too far, in that fog. Rome is rather iron-dependant, whether it's the strategy or not. I guess an earlier city might have been good too - any reason for the delay? I mean, securing iron with the 3rd would work too...

So far I like Corbeau's game a lot, his demographics are a bit better than mine and he's got a great development going on while Cathy, his threatening neighbor, is in a war against Germany+1CS so she just might have a hard time. My position is a bit safer but none of us have any military to write home about.
I'd like to wait for at least 4 saves before we get a round of voting, this way we can all have a top 3. Methos? Seven spirits?

I've tried starting a couple but Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon always shows up partway through. :/

I can contribute an idea though. While I suspect Greece is probably best due to companion cavalry, I think Darius on a great plains map would be pretty amazing. 50% longer golden ages, and every tile gets +1h and most get +1g. If you play on quick, most game things are scaled to 67% but golden ages are only scaled down to 80%! If we were to quickly bulb Civil Service and build Chichen Itza, all the better. The golden age combat bonus will also be quite useful of course.

I'm afraid you might be incompatible then, I read that if you have the 'Babylon' edition we can't read your saves and conversely.

Someone made a tool to convert saves so that is not a problem, but if I start the game with babylon in it no amount of conversion will help!

FYI, I've got a Babylon edition and have no idea if the Babs are in my saved game. Sigh.

Honestly, kinda regretting that purchase. Nice promotion, Firaxis/2K/Valve...
