I just did a computer upgrade, which has given me what seems like infinite disk space. So I've been thinking about games I haven't played in a long time, digging them out and loading them up. Then I remembered...GalCiv...digital purchase...obnoxious loading program that just about qualifies as malware...
But I have fond memories and I've gotten pretty savvy about malware killing, so why not?
Now I've successfully installed GC2, DA, and TotA...undoubtedly in versions many updates beyond anything I ever had. I've successfully eradicated all trace of the invasive GameStop loader gizmo, which may or may not have been as bad as Impact or the even older Stardock Central that I battled in the past. I am content...but...
I observe that it is now possible to play through all three campaigns under TotA. Is there any reason to play GC2, or DA? As I said, I have enough disk space that I probably wouldn't uninstall them...but I'm wishing that I had checked before I did the installation, especially since GameStop might be the source of the slowest downloads on the internet.
